Oh I know, it's been months since I featured a color of the week.

I've had these images on my desktop for weeks but I just never got around to writing the post... until tonight.
So Tangerine Tango is the Pantone color of 2012. We've been using it for years but I guess they lifted it to some exulted design status now and because I love the color I couldn't be happier.
Last month I sold most of the furniture that was in our family room which looks more like a sun room.
I've been playing with Olioboard and coming up with more and more concept boards.
These were last night's versions.
I have been taking my time making decisions for this space but I did finally order the two Candace Olson swivel chairs in a green Sunbrella fabric with a bit of turquoise in it. I like how I can accent the greens and creams with a number of accent colors like turquoise, yellow, navy or
"Rorange".
I didn't want to commit to any big pieces in this shade but the more I see this color the more I know I want to incorporate it into our home.
From front doors to bathtubs to accent fabrics this is a color that says, "Welcome. Be happy here".

It really is more neutral that I realized. It works with browns, blues, greys, taupes, golds, greens, yellows even pink.
Rorange, my new happy red.
