Or Everything Takes Longer Than I Thought It Would
With only six days to go until our Traveling Door Sale I am feeling really jammed for time. I knew it was getting crazy when I realized that instead of just having an emergency Zone Bar in my purse I have resorted to just throwing in a whole box and in the past two days I see that I'm quickly going through them. The thing is life doesn't stop just because I have a deadline. Last night was book club and I needed a break and a little "girl time" so I went even though I hadn't finished the book. By the way, thanks Eileen for a fun evening and choosing a great book, Inheritance, which I hope to finish after the 7th. This is also the weekend of our son, Adam's, prom. Mike and I are on the post prom committee, so I have been contributing my time to that and tomorrow night we will be working from 11 PM to 4 AM ! I'm wondering if maybe I'm getting too old for this.
Today I ran a series of errands looking for hardware pulls and a few grocery staples (no time for real meals), started painting a small entertainment center for the sale - after moving it from Adam's third floor bedroom down to the library. That in itself was no small feat and that's as far as I could get it. So yes, if it looks like I am painting in the library - you're right. All the while I was doing this I was also making calls back and forth to the realtor regarding the sale of my mom's condo. Oh yes, she is moving Tuesday - another major event in our lives.
I started this blog about a year ago and it has been fun to see the interest increase and I read that it is important to keep up frequent posts so this is it - short and sweet and a bit of a rant but hopefully I will have some great prom pics to flaunt after tomorrow night plus an updated photo of the wardrobe/entertainment center.
