Thanks for stopping by and checking on my progress. It is already the 14th of the month and I still have so much to do. My thirty days to a new studio will be close. This part of the space has taken me a lot longer than I thought it would (almost a week) but it will be a statement piece in my new studio. When I started planning this room I was envisioning my signature black and white with the aqua walls. I was thinking that all of the white organizational and craft elements would work well with this theme and my black and white totes would complete it. Painting the credenza black would be a nice "tasteful" update from it's sad ugly shiny oak finish.
I almost forgot to take a before picture but remembered just as I was starting to put on the primer.
Then I started looking at other studios on line for inspiration and decided that this is supposed to be a creative space. Why stop with black when painted furniture is what I do. This piece needed to shout color and fun. I think I accomplished that.
... and here is the finished piece. Ta Da! Drum roll please :)
It still needs a clear top coat but for now it is on to the next project. I love your comments. They keep me motivated so keep them coming and stop back soon.
I am reposting this crazy credenza on Thrifty Decor Chick , Miss Mustard Seed and Funky Junk Interiors. These will be large parties that will leave you more than a little bit motivated to try and do some of these projects yourself. You really should check it out.
