Can it really be Monday again?
I have been steadily checking things off my to do list this past week and feel like I am making some real progress back towards normalcy.
As a reward for staying on task, the hubs and I were in Galena over the weekend. It was cold and damp so we laid low and did some heavy duty and long over due cleaning. Weird I know, but sometimes I like to clean house. I see things with new eyes. I move things around. I add and delete and then I make lists of things I would like to do to update, things I need, and projects I dream I will find the time to complete.
I took a ton of pictures of the place while we were there... because it was clean. I mentioned to Mike that I wished I had the photos of the house when we first bought it. I don't know what happened to mine but he told me he had some on his computer and when we got back home he gave them to me.
They are hideous.
I can't wait to share.
They will probably be a whole week's worth of posts for me.
Here is just a teaser of what is to come.
Get ready for the bedroom the puked up blue bows
and Waverly prints.
I think this may be why we got such a deal on the place.
I promise it won't be just a parade of butt ugly photos but I hope to show you how far I think we have come
While I was busy working my way through my to do's last week
you were inspiring me yet again with your
ingenuity and talent.
I was duly impressed with all the links but thought I would show case this be-still-my-heart seasonal update from
Don't you just love that name?
Great colors. I like to think of them as "My colors" but I guess I am not alone in my love of reds and greens. I even love the purple notebook under the coffee table.
I would love to hate her for those slipcovers but I would rather be her friend and have her make some for me.
Then there were these fabulous metal flowers from
I am so going to try this.
Maybe they will be at the next Traveling Door Market?
They are made out of pop cans!
I am not worthy.
Did you see this on last week's Motivated Monday?
showed us this fun "flower bed"
Gotta love the play on words and the colorful garden.
...and now it is time to do it all again.
