Decorating is not for the impatient.
While I wait for the living room furniture and the dining room rug my mind wanders to adjoining spaces that need a make over too.
I was excited though that my Thomas Paul runners came for the foyer.
I love them.
I feel like they are perfect with the living room rug but I am not as thrilled with how they team up next to the entry rug.
Add this to my to do list too -
I hate that tile but that is a "whole thing" as my youngest would say and not anything I can do anything about right now.
So now while I am looking for a rug for the library I will have to keep a replacement for this 4x4 entry rug in the back of my mind too.
As for the library, it is a small and challenging room to pull together.
The room is narrow with a bookcase at one end and an archway at the other.
Add in that big old radiator and it is a design dilemma for sure.
My mom may want this love seat. If she does, great.
I have a big old wing chair that I would recover and put here.
Or I could recover this love seat and leave it here or take it back into the living room. Whatever I put here I want to see in a bold graphic print fabric.
I can see a black and cream stripe of a bronze or brown damask or ikat pattern.
I've also thought of a dusty purple.
Crazy I know.
I would then do the opposite design on the rug.
I also have this chair that isn't so pretty but is incredibly comfortable and has an ottoman. It is a Bradington Young chair so it is a quality piece and perfect for a library.
I like this little side chair too. It was in the living room but doesn't work now.
I like it here with certain fabric and rug choices. Otherwise it may have to find a new home.
So considering the rugs in the foyer, I am thinking one of these for the library.

Thoughts or input?
You know me, always asking and listening.
