I bought this bowl a while back knowing I would paint it for The Traveling Door show that is coming up soon.
It was a Hobby Lobby find with nice lines and finished in brown with a bronze glaze. Not bad, but not very interesting. I wanted to give it a new, more exciting life. So I gave it the BeColorful touch. :D
I've been influenced by the glamorous style of Dorothy Draper so this was my nod to her.
Black and white stripes on the outside
and gilded gold and green argyle on the inside.
Dorothy, if you are looking down I hope you approve.
