I am definitely influenced by the seasons when it comes to decorating and when it comes to fall I thing of warmer richer colors. Interestingly enough I am not drawn to the typical rusts, golds, and browns of gourds, pumpkins and cornhusks. Those things don't fit in well with my overall design and other than a pop of orange in our family room I can't say that I am a huge fan. Perhaps it is because I am old enough to remember the browns and oranges of the 70's. Some things are better left in the past.
:D
One color that does speak to me this time of year, though, is copper.
Those of you that have followed me for awhile will remember when I painted our living room ceiling in this glowing metallic hue.
That was two years ago and I am still on board with it.
Copper isn't a color you see a lot of. Perhaps that is why it appeals to me. Who wants cookie cutter design?
If you are feeling a bit trepidatious? Then think of introducing copper in small doses as a nod to fall.

If you are intrigued and ready to take the plunge with this out of the ordinary shade but aren't sure if it is just a crush or a long term affair then perhaps wall color is the answer for acheiving a dramatic dose of copper but with less of a long term commitment.
Copper walls can be so warmly inviting during the day but at night they become absolutely, magically, enchanting.
So copper, love it, like it, or abhor it? Maybe you just aren't sure. Regardless, I love hearing your thoughts.
