This embroidered 24" square pillow is one head turning work of art.
I always think of throw pillows as a compliment to the room.
This one, though, is outstanding enough to make a statement all by itself.
A pillow as art!
Bloody brilliant!
These embroidered designs are also available as wall hangings
and they are gorgeous.
I could see one of them in Galena.
Where to find this
unconventional sofa sass?
Right here.
Before you get too wrapped in that, though, don't forget to link up to this week's
Motivated Monday.
Did you catch some of the jaw dropping creations from last week?
I was reminded that paint projects don't have to be wild and crazy to take your breath away.
I loved the subtle elegance of this chest of drawers from
How great is that edging on the front of the drawers?
I told her this looks like something right out of some exclusive furniture boutique.
Gorgeous.
Then there was this post from
These henna designs are just so intriguing.
I would love to learn more about this art form.
Finally, there was this great door submitted by
Sunny over at Life in Rehab.
Sunny is a creating machine.
That door looks clear in the photo but actually it is reflecting because she spray painted it with the new mirrored looking glass paint from Krylon.
Inspired.
So how about you?
What have you been up to?
I hope you will share it here because it's that time.
Time for Motivated Monday.
I will also be linking up at BNOTP.
Join up there too.

How fun is this pillow?
It is one of those things that I am so utterly amazed by the creativity of the designer but then I also think, "Wow, wish I had thought of that".
This wonderful touch of whimsy can be totally personalized from the stamp to the message.
From Olive on Etsy. You can find it here.
As for me,
I get to see Liz this weekend.
Haven't seen her since February 13th
Can't wait!!!

Three dimensional flowers and embroidered leaves embellish this over-the-top beauty from MacKenzie Childs.
"Poppy Fields"
This week's Pillow of the Week can be found here.
An oversized lumbar pillow, 36 x 15, is $$$$ but what a dramatic statement it would make.
It's fun to dream.

Totally transcendental, is how I would describe
this turquoise and lime lumbar temptress.
Trina Turk's design have that bold California graphic design and this pillow is no exception. Measuring 26 x 14.
You can buy it here.

She may not be for everybody but then I'm not here to bring you the yawns and ordinary. A bit edgy and that one controversial item is what I like to flaunt. If you are on board with that you might find this leather lovely enchanting. You would have to love her a lot though because she doesn't come cheap. If you are a fan of the one of a kind Stick's style then this could be a fun touch of whimsy for your family room, bedroom, entry, or craft room. I would think of her as a guardian angel. I would probably give her name and leave her out all year long. You can find her here.
Happy Sunday.
Hope to see you tonight for the Motivated Monday Link Party

Calling all dog lovers.
As I am closing in on a year's worth of Pillow of the Week selections I realize I haven't yet showcased a pillow for all of the dog lovers out there.
There was one way back last spring for cats but my canine friends have been ignored too long.
So this one is for you.
Measuring 20 inches square and available in other colors, you can purchase it here.

I must just live right.
Or maybe I just know how to choose my friends. :)
Maybe both.
So how excited was I when this fun package showed up in my mailbox this week?
Very.
Did you hear my squeals of excitement from where you are?
My sweet friend made this pillow for me to celebrate my blog.
I love how she tied in my blog banner from Liz Ink and Paper.
Ah pillow love.
Sherri love.
Love Love Love.
It looks right at home in the chair in my office.
Can you tell that these are my favorite colors?
:0
You know you want one too.
If you're feeling the love you may want to give one as a gift too.

Have a great weekend.

Two weeks ago I did a blog post on the BeColorful color of the week and the color that week was Spring Green.
I wish I had seen this pillow then.
Sometimes life is like that.
You can't find things when you are looking for them.
Like when you want to show someone something in a magazine and can't find it but you KNOW it is there.
Don't you hate that?
Anyway. Loved the polka dots on this Spring Green (they call it Jade) Pillow of the Week.
It is the Gigi pillow from Company C and measures 22 inches square.
The Gigi comes in a variety of colors and you can purchase it HERE.
Have a great weekend and I hope you can check back tomorrow night and link up to Motivated Monday party here at BeColorful.

I love black and white and I love stripes.
You put the two together and I lose all will power.
It just speaks to me.
I think I have been looking for this pillow my whole life but now that I found it I don't know where to use it first.
I could see it in our green family room or in either of the bedrooms with the black and white bedding, or maybe in my office.
I think this black and white awning stripe could go almost anywhere.
Look how amazing it looks with my blog banner. :0
It is available from Pottery Barn.
I think I need two.
xoxo,
P
PS. You still have time to link up to this week's Motivated Monday here at BeColorful.
I'd love for you to inspire me.

I've been remiss.
I've missed maybe a month's worth of Pillow of the Week posts.
I guess that happens in December and over the holidays.
Now, though, the decorations have been boxed, tucked, and crammed away and our suitcases unpacked. I'm caught up on laundry and I am ready to get back to some real routine.
I didn't have to look far for this week's pillow.
It actually showed up in my inbox.
This golden head-turner is available as a give away from Rene over at Cottage and Vine. Be sure and register for an opportunity to win this little lovely and spruce up your January Blah space.
As for me, here's to getting back on task and working toward a more frequent blogging schedule.
I can't believe it is already Sunday night again and time for another Motivated Monday.
I was bowled over by a number of last weeks posts but I thought these two were especially noteworthy.
Check out this chalkboard dining table at Paisley Passions. This is a project I'd like to try.
Then for the ultimate weight loss inspiration be sure and visit Donene and see her amazing results at Easypeasy Grandma.
I can't wait to read more to see how she did this. She looks amazing! If she is a grandma she must have had her babies at age twelve!
So here we go again.
Motivated Monday. Show me what you're up to.
You know the drill.
Please be kind and put the Becolorful button in your post or sidebar and look around and comment on at least one other post.
This seems to be a really small party.
The upside of that is your posts really stand out.
I'd love it, though, if you would spread the word so more people can see your amazing and motivating posts of achievements, projects, goals, and more.
Have a great week.

Linking up this post here:
With holiday decorating upon us and another Pillow of the Week post to write, I thought I should most definitely feature a Christmas pillow.
But there are just so many wonderful and unusual pillows to choose from that I had a hard time picking just one this week.
So look no further if it is pillows you need.
As my gift to you, I offer you holiday pillow OPTIONS! :)
Each one has a link to make your shopping just that much easier.
I know, you're welcome. :)
I really should have been getting some other work done but this was so much more fun.
Check it out.
I love them all.
This throw pillow is from Posh Tots and sells for $48.00. You can purchase it here.
It would be great in a child's room but I can see it in a family room or anywhere in the home of a cycling enthusiast.
Loved this set from The Smithsonian Store and for only $21.99!
Or how about creatively going green with this recycled Christmas sweater pillow that I saw on by Spring Water Designs.
The simple design of this winter tree from Rain Drop Designs just stole my heart. It didn't hurt that it sells for only $18.50
This pair of 20 x 20 pillow covers spoke to my Nordic heritage.
They are available HERE on Etsy.
If light turquoise is your color you will love this from Sew Lucky Girl.
Pretty for the holidays but this winter theme could hang out with you through January too.
It made me smile when I saw what she did with the flip side.
For that neutral palate. I thought this could be perfect. Made of imported linen with vintage button closures from Rosiebuddes Designs.
For more details click here.
December and Christmas trees just go together.
So pillows and trees are also a given.
I loved this whimsical Frontgate version
and this little lovely from Alisa Jacobs that was featured in Better Homes and Gardens.
It sells HERE for $40.00
...and I am crazy for this look from Designs by Nancy. How fun are these?
They remind me of Buddy the Elf. :)
Christmas, it's all about the presents. :)
Here is an especially pretty one from Cottage Ruffles.
Then there is this star pillow. It would bring an easy holiday touch to any room.
This bright and bold delight is from a store of the same name. Amazingly it is only $20.00.
There is even a Holiday Pillow for the cupcake lover in you.
Find it at Amazon for $52.99
Hooked Pillows offer a great textural element to a space.
I loved the casual but contemporary feel of these two from Garnet Hill.
Accent pillows, I'm a huge fan.
They are such an easy and usually inexpensive way to change up a room or bring in seasonal flair.
My love affair with them, though, is getting a bit out of control.
I am running out of storage space for all of my off season lovelies.
I may need to either edit or think about going with more pillow covers that I can use with inserts.
All of these tempted me though.
Maybe I have room for just a couple more. :)
Which ones were your favorites?
I'd love to hear.
Like you, I am gearing up to start decking the halls.
I know you will be inspiring me in the next few weeks with your holiday decor and gift ideas.
I can't wait to see your posts.
You know the drill.
If you are not a follower, I would be flattered if you would sign up.
Please be kind and comment on two other posts while you are visiting here.
Everybody loves a nice comment.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you will consider linking up a project of any type, they are all motivating.

I think it was last summer when I first saw this image on West Elm.
The "I can do that" wheels began turning.
I knew I could do it for less than $79.00
I was seeing silhouette images all over the internet.
They are kind of an extension of the subway art designs.
So I came up with my own version.
I found a number of free or royalty free images on the internet and used them as my template.
The angle of the photo makes this appear like a flat canvas but it is actually a one inch deep 12 x 12 wooden square picture I bought at Hobby Lobby in the clearance aisle. I painted it black, cut the figures out of card stock and arranged them on the painted frame.
I like to add words or quotes to my pieces.
Like I did on this clock.
Originally I was thinking of something with some statement about standing out or being original.
The more I thought about it the more I thought that then one of the figures should be a different color. I only had one canvas though and I didn't know whether to go with a male or female lean.
So I looked at my cut out figures again and discovered that for some reason most of the people I had chosen were talking or appeared to be listening.
That's when I decided to go with the simple Listen to your heart phrase.
I used a paint pen to add this and then let it dry overnight before sealing the entire piece with Modge Podge.
So, I'm very sorry West Elm. I love your stuff but I won't be buying that silhouette piece.
In fact, I am so hooked on silhouettes I thought I should also do a silhouette for my pillow of the week this week ( I've actually missed a couple of weeks) :)
Isn't it fun?
You can find it here.
Hmmm. At $100.00 I may have to learn to sew too. Hehe
I think, though, I am drawn to the graphic bold look of silhouettes and that is why they hold such an attraction for me.
I have been creating a number of them that I will feature tomorrow when I have a bit more time to load pictures.
Today I need to get caught up around home.
Thanks so much, though, for stopping by and visiting.
Don't forget, it's still not too late to link up to Motivated Monday here at
be Colorful.
Until tomorrow,
XOXO,

These pillows by Karen HIlton Designs are just so much fun.
I love her edgy style and colors.
I saw them earlier this week and knew right then that they would have to be my feature for Pillow of the Week # 34.
You can find them here.
I also was excited to see this post on Houzz today featuring toss pillows and the school of thought that they are one of the easiest ways to bring color, pattern and personal style into a room.
Be sure to find the time to check out this great segment.
Hope you are having a fabulous weekend
and

I finally finished pulling together my fall flair for the house
and now it is already time to add the Halloween touches.
I can't wait to see Carlotta again. ( My Halloween purchase from last year).
I also thought this Alfred Hitchcock The Birds Pillow was an interesting take on Halloween accents.
I love that it is blue and not the traditional black and orange.
You can find it here.
I hope you will link up your fall or Halloween decor ideas to inspire me as I get ready to add one more layer to my October look here at home.
You know how it works:
1. please link your blog post not your home page.
2. please link back by copying and pasting the Motivated Monday button in your post or sidebar.
So be a dear,
let 'er rip and show your inspired side.
:)
XOXO,
